The Biggest Problem Is That AI Has Changed Expectations
Google Home’s shortcomings would be easier to overlook if the broader technology world had remained unchanged.
It has not.
Generative AI has completely altered what users expect from conversational computers.
People can now ask complicated follow-up questions, provide context, request explanations and continue a conversation without carefully constructing every sentence like a command.
Traditional voice assistants can feel primitive by comparison.

Easy.
