Apple is known for premium devices, but some of its most practical accessories cost less than $50. A small tracker, compact charger or dependable pair of wired earphones can solve an everyday problem without requiring another major technology purchase.
The four products below each cost less than $50 through Apple’s US store at the time of writing. Taxes, regional pricing and retailer discounts may change the final amount. Each product also serves a different purpose, making the strongest choice dependent on which Apple devices a buyer already owns.
1. AirTag: $29
The second-generation AirTag is arguably the most useful Apple gadget available below $50. It can be placed inside luggage, attached to a keyring or stored in a backpack so the item can be located through Apple’s Find My network.
Apple released the updated AirTag in January 2026 while retaining the original price of $29 for one unit. The new version has a longer Bluetooth range, a louder speaker and improved Precision Finding. Apple says compatible devices can guide users towards an AirTag from up to 50% farther away than the previous generation. The speaker is also 50% louder and can reportedly be heard from up to twice the earlier distance. The latest features and pricing are available on Apple’s AirTag product page.
These improvements matter when an item is hidden beneath furniture, left in another room or packed deep inside a suitcase. Precision Finding provides directional, distance and haptic guidance when used with compatible iPhone models. The newer AirTag can also support Precision Finding through an Apple Watch Series 9 or later or an Apple Watch Ultra 2 or later with the required software.
AirTag does have one important limitation: it does not include a built-in keyring hole. Attaching it securely to keys or the outside of a bag normally requires a separate holder, which adds to the total cost. It is also designed to locate personal belongings rather than provide continuous real-time tracking of people or pets.
For frequent travellers, students and anyone who regularly misplaces keys, the AirTag offers more practical value than many accessories costing several times as much.
2. Apple 40W Dynamic Power Adapter With 60W Max: $39
Apple’s 40W Dynamic Power Adapter is a compact USB-C charger that can temporarily deliver up to 60 watts of output. At $39, it sits comfortably below the $50 limit while offering more flexibility than Apple’s basic 20W adapter.
Its main advantage is the balance between charging power and portability. Apple says the adapter can dynamically increase its output to provide some of the benefits associated with larger high-wattage chargers while retaining a pocket-sized design. It is compatible with USB-C devices, including numerous iPhone, iPad and MacBook models. The charging cable is sold separately. Full compatibility information appears on Apple’s 40W Dynamic Power Adapter page.
When paired with a compatible cable, Apple says the adapter can charge an iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Pro Max to approximately 50% in 20 minutes. It can charge an iPhone Air to around 50% in 30 minutes. Apple also lists fast-charging support for recent 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models. Actual charging time can vary according to temperature, device use, battery condition and other factors.
Owners of older iPhones do not necessarily need 40 watts. Apple’s $19 20W USB-C adapter can already fast-charge many older models effectively. However, the newer Dynamic Power Adapter makes greater sense for households using several generations of Apple hardware or for travellers who want one compact charger for an iPhone, iPad and lightweight MacBook.
It is not the best choice for charging several devices simultaneously because it includes only one USB-C port. Its value comes from delivering greater power from a small adapter, not from replacing a multiport desktop charging station.
3. EarPods With USB-C: $19
Wireless earphones dominate the current market, but Apple’s $19 USB-C EarPods remain one of the company’s most dependable low-cost accessories. They do not need charging, pairing or battery management. Once connected, they are ready for music, calls, videos and online meetings.
The USB-C version is compatible with USB-C iPhones running iOS 17 or later, supported USB-C iPads running iPadOS 16.4 or later and compatible Macs running macOS Monterey 12.6 or later. Apple’s USB-C EarPods listing confirms the $19 price and current compatibility requirements.
An integrated remote provides volume adjustment, playback controls and call management. The built-in microphone also makes EarPods useful as an inexpensive backup for video calls or voice recordings when wireless earbuds are discharged. Apple states that the earphones offer protection against sweat and water, although they should not be treated as fully waterproof sports headphones.
Their greatest advantage is reliability. Bluetooth interference, depleted batteries and pairing problems are removed from the experience. Wired audio can also be useful during long journeys when conserving a phone’s battery matters.
EarPods do not provide active noise cancellation, wireless freedom or the advanced integration offered by AirPods. The fixed plastic shape may also fit some ears better than others. Nevertheless, at $19, they are a sensible spare pair for a laptop bag, office drawer or travel kit.
4. Apple Watch Magnetic Fast Charger to USB-C Cable: $29
An additional Apple Watch charging cable may not seem exciting, but it can prevent one of the most common problems experienced by watch owners: arriving at work or travelling without the proprietary charger.
Apple sells its one-metre Magnetic Fast Charger to USB-C Cable for $29. It has a durable woven exterior and a magnetic charging surface that aligns automatically with the back of an Apple Watch. The cable can be connected to a USB-C power adapter, MacBook or another compatible USB-C power source. Apple provides the full model list on its Magnetic Fast Charger product page.
When paired with Apple’s compatible 20W USB-C adapter, the cable supports fast charging on selected Apple Watch models. Apple states that 15 minutes of charging can provide up to eight hours of battery life for the Apple Watch SE 3 and Series 11, or up to 12 hours for the Apple Watch Ultra 3. Charging performance varies by model and conditions.
The cable also works with older Apple Watch generations, although those models may not support the same fast-charging speeds. Because the product contains only the cable, a power adapter must already be available or purchased separately.
For an Apple Watch owner, keeping one charger permanently beside the bed and another inside a work or travel bag can be more useful than buying a decorative band. It reduces the likelihood of losing access to activity tracking, notifications and other watch functions during a long day away from home.
Which Apple Gadget Offers the Best Value?
The AirTag offers the broadest everyday usefulness because it can help recover belongings that would be expensive or disruptive to lose. The 40W Dynamic Power Adapter is the strongest option for someone using several USB-C Apple devices and wanting faster charging from a compact plug.
USB-C EarPods provide the best value for audio, particularly as a reliable backup to wireless headphones. The Apple Watch Magnetic Fast Charger is the most practical purchase for watch owners who travel frequently or need a second charging location.
None of these accessories is essential for every Apple user. Their value comes from solving specific problems without crossing the $50 mark. A buyer who chooses according to an existing need rather than collecting accessories can add meaningful convenience to the Apple ecosystem at a relatively modest price.
